The Tribal Elder Food Box (TEFB) Program started in 2021 with the goal of increasing access to nutritious, culturally meaningful foods for Tribal members over 55 years old. Since then, the program has distributed over 94,500 Tribal Elder Food Boxes.

Since its founding in 1984, Stepping Stones of Dunn County has been an invaluable resource to those facing food insecurity in Northwest Wisconsin.

This program is significant for family farmers like us. It supports our livelihood, helps us improve our farming practices, and ensures that we can continue to provide our community with nutritious, locally-grown produce. The LFPA program has been a cornerstone of our success.

A group of farmers and agricultural enthusiasts gathered at the University of Wisconsin Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery Lab for After the Farm: Meat Processing Training for Farmers.  The event was designed to take farmers beyond the field, delving into the art and science of meat processing.

In spring 2024 White Bison Farm was awarded a $15,000 contract to sell pork and bison to the Wisconsin Local Food Purchase Assistance (WI LFPA) program. Now the farm is providing high quality, nutritious food to the people in their community who need it most. 

On August 7, 2024 a group of 10 farmers and agriculture professionals joined the WI LFPA Program and Rodrigo Cala at Cala Farm to learn more about Rodrigo’s farm and how he supports farm to food access through the WI LFPA program.

Martice Scales and Amy Kroll-Scales founded Full Circle Healing Farm in 2017, leaving stable career paths to start healing their community from the ground up.

Much’s farm, Heritage Grange, is a testament to her family’s history on the land as well as her dedication to the food security of her neighbors.

Gathered at Hermit Creek Farm on a hot sunny August afternoon as the humidity picks up, 11 participants learned about the history of Landis and Steven’s dream to turn an 80-acre homestead into a busting CSA farm.
